Our Story
Bridge Braintrust LLC was founded on a simple but enduring belief: meaningful work happens when people are supported, challenged, and guided with intention—especially through change.
After more than 30 years in human resources, I found myself consistently drawn to the areas where people and possibility intersect—talent strategy, leadership development, and organizational change. Across roles and organizations, I took particular joy in helping individuals recognize their strengths, clarify their direction, and understand their work as more than a job, but as a purposeful and evolving career journey.
As my career progressed, I was entrusted with greater responsibility—hiring, developing, and leading others. With that responsibility came a deep sense of accountability to open doors, advocate for talent, mentor thoughtfully, and align people to work where they could contribute meaningfully and thrive. Over time, this commitment expanded beyond individuals to organizations, particularly around how change is designed and led. I became increasingly passionate about helping organizations navigate change in ways that are thoughtful, disciplined, and grounded in care for the people experiencing it.
Along the way, my own journey was shaped by coaches, mentors, and peers who challenged me, supported me, and often served as a steady bridge during moments of professional complexity. These relationships reinforced a truth I continue to hold: leadership is not meant to be navigated alone, and there is real power in collective wisdom. My faith has also played an important role—grounding my work in purpose and reinforcing my commitment to serve with integrity, humility, and clarity.
Bridge Braintrust LLC was born as the expression of these experiences and values. At its core, Bridge Braintrust exists to connect people, purpose, and possibility. It was created to help leaders—and the organizations they serve—pause, reflect, and build the capability required to reach their full potential.

Shenita Brokenburr, Ph.D. is the Founder and Managing Consultant of Bridge Braintrust. She is an accomplished HR/change leadership expert, educator consultant and ICF credentialed executive coach with board & advisory experience having worked across government, higher education, professional services, and non-profit sectors. In addition to her extensive work in academic environments, Dr. Brokenburr has also consulted with federal agencies in the United States to include the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), NASA and Treasury as a government contractor; as well as internationally in the Qatar Foundation's Education City.
